Veteran Legacy Plan exists because of a gap between what most veterans believe and what actually happens. Most veterans believe the VA takes care of their funeral. It takes care of part of it — a gravesite in a national cemetery, a headstone, a flag, military honors, and a set allowance paid by reimbursement after the fact. The funeral home’s bill, the largest cost, lands on the family, usually within about 72 hours.
What we do
We do one thing: the Benefit Gap Review. A licensed specialist verifies what you’re actually entitled to based on your discharge and service dates, puts a real dollar figure on the shortfall between your benefits and what a funeral costs where you live, and — only if it makes sense for your situation — helps you cover that gap with coverage sized to the number. Not more. The review costs nothing and carries no obligation.

Veteran Legacy Plan is a private company. We are not the Department of Veterans Affairs, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the VA, the Department of Defense, or any government agency. Government benefits are yours regardless of anything we offer — we’ll always tell you to claim every dollar of them first.
